My Favorites of 2009 | Smart Ones
Posted on December 30, 2009
Seniors! Oh, how I love working with this group. They are fun, smart, stylish, and beautiful (ok, the guys are handsome). I was lucky enough to have some wonderful senior class reps this year. And if you are a member of the Class of 2011, I am now accepting applications for Senior Representative for your class. Check out this page for details.
Here are my favorite senior pics of 2009…

Taylor, Take 2
Posted on October 19, 2009
Of course you remember the fabulous Taylor, my GRB Class of 2010 Senior Rep. Well, because we had so much fun at her first session, we decided to do it again!
Actually, the free second session is just one of the many perks that my Senior Reps enjoy. Yes, I said free. Listen up, potential Class of 2011 reps – if you are selected as a rep and have your senior portrait session in the spring of your junior year, you receive a free update session in the fall of your senior year. And to make your update session even more fun, you can bring a friend (or two) along with you! Taylor brought the equally fabulous Olivia with her yesterday. Olivia is a junior, and I’m already bugging her to be a rep for me next year.
So, what’s the update session like? Well, we do the usual relaxed, fun portraits…

And then we might sneak in a shot or two of the friends, especially if we want them to be reps next year… ![]()

And then, we just have fun! Fun like….
…swordfights!

And piggy-back rides!

And of course, playing in the leaves…

Taylor, thanks for being a great Senior Rep. Keep up the good work! And Olivia, I’ll see you in the spring.
And if there are any other members of the Class of 2011 who think they might be interested in the Senior Rep position, email me for more details. I don’t normally start recruiting until early spring, but I can definitely put you at the top of my list until then!
Nikki – Class of 2010

This is the portrait session that almost wasn’t. After being postponed due to illness last month, I thought for sure it was going to be pushed back again due to the weather. But Mother Nature was on our side today, and we managed to fit this in between rain storms.
And can someone please tell me what they were putting in the water eighteen years ago? Because all of my class of 2010 seniors have been gorgeous!!! Yes, I have such a tough job, photographing beautiful young ladies like Nikki…

After our afternoon at Beaver Lake, we all went home to rest for a little while, then met up again a little later at the beach in Fair Haven. The evening light was just amazing, and we had a lot of fun racing the sunset!
Do you have any idea how hard it was to write “Class of 2010″ in the sand? The water kept creeping up and washing it away!!

Cassandra – Class of 2010 (Part 1)

What a fun day! I had the pleasure of photographing Cassandra this afternoon at Beaver Lake, and then again this evening at Fair Haven Beach. She is a senior at GRB, and I gave her my “Senior Quiz” to find out a little more about her. You can see some of her answers below. You can also see the second half of her sneak peek tomorrow. This post is from our afternoon at Beaver Lake (one of my all-time favorite places!). It was a gorgeous early fall day…

Jeremy – Class of 2010
Posted on August 17, 2009
Another long-awaited sneak peek. I’m so glad to finally be getting caught up on these sessions. It’s so nice to have a working computer again!
This is Jeremy. He is getting ready to start his senior year at Oswego High School. He is also my newest Senior Rep! If you are a senior at OHS, be sure to see him for a great deal on your senior portraits.
Jeremy plays the guitar. I enjoy listening to Griffin play around with his guitar, but it was nice to hear someone who can actually play. ![]()

I discovered that a couple of my favorite shooting locations in Oswego have been changed/closed/altered and I was pretty bummed about it. But then I discovered this wall, and I love it. I’ll have to keep it in mind for future sessions. It’s a great wall. ![]()

Zac – Class of 2010
Posted on August 1, 2009
Another great senior! This is Zac, and he’s heading into his senior year at Baker.
He plays the trombone and is in the marching band. I remember my days in band, playing flute and oboe.

I never looked this cool, though.

Good luck in your senior year Zac!

Congratulations to the Class of 2009!

Taylor – GRB's Class of '10 Senior Representative
Posted on June 15, 2009
Meet Taylor. She’s just finishing up her Junior year at G. Ray Bodley, and she’s definitely keeping herself busy! She’s on the track, cross-country and volleyball teams (I need a nap just thinking about all of that!) and she is also in band and the math club. She’s in the National Honor Society and the OCAY League. Oh, and of course she’s class president. I just want to know when she has time to sleep!! After graduation she plans on going to college to major in music business. How fun does that sound!?
Well now Taylor can add one more activity to her long list, because she is my newest Senior Rep! If you are going to be a Senior next year and are thinking about your senior portraits, be sure to see her. She’s going to have some referral cards with a great offer for you. Not a Bodley student? If you are in the Class of 2010 and would like to be the Senior Rep for your school, just shoot me an email or call me!
Here are some more images from Taylor’s Senior Style portrait session this past weekend. While we were discussing locations, Taylor mentioned that she would like to have it somewhere with flowers. Since Fulton has a noticeable lack of beautiful gardens, I had to widen my search area a bit. I did some asking around and found out that Thornden Park in Syracuse has a rose garden. I was thinking it would be a little garden, hopefully adequate for our needs. Wow! It was amazing! So many varieties of roses, and the garden itself is huge! And the rose garden is just the beginning. There are so many other little places that were just perfect for pictures. Take a look!

A full sneak peek of Taylor’s Senior Style session will be coming in the next day or two. But I did want to get at least a few up tonight. Enjoy!
