Waiting for… | CNY Maternity Photographer

Madigan Mae‘s little brother or sister!

I was so excited to hear that Madi’s parents are having another baby. Though I am less pleased that they have opted not to find out if it’s a boy or girl. I hate surprises!!! :)

But I guess if they can wait, so can I. For now, here is my favorite pic from Madi’s mom’s maternity session. Madi knows where her baby is! And I know she’s going to be the best big sister ever. Can’t wait to meet the new little one!

I didn’t get to do many maternity shoots this year, but here are some of my faves…

(J&J, you are the best! :) )

Can I just tell you how much fun I had at this session? Jessica & Jason were just a blast to be around. We laughed and chatted like we had known each other for years. I love it when that happens!

I also love it when my clients are willing to try something a little different, perhaps a bit out of their normal comfort zone. I know many women are self-conscious about their bodies, and even more so when they are pregnant. But I cannot stress enough how beautiful all women are when they are expecting! The bump, the glow, the smiles of anticipation – they all combine to make some lovely maternity portraits! So if you are expecting a new little one, please contact me about documenting this special time in your life.

Now sit back and relax, because this is going to be a long one. I had a heckuva time trying to narrow down my favorites! We started this session in Jessica & Jason’s home, because their bedroom had some lovely window light.

I love, love, love the light in this one! Evening light is the best!

Then we moved out the yard. They hardly ever have traffic coming down their street. Except for when we were out there doing belly shots. :)

Next we headed down to Beaver Lake. It was evening, there were mosquitoes by the thousands, we all got eaten alive. And the little buggers just laughed at the mere 7% DEET in my bug spray. Next time I’ll have to remember to bring my Deep Woods Off.

I’ve always wanted to do a shot like this is a field. (shhhhhhhh… we did not stay on the trails – don’t tell anybody!!)

I looooooove this next series! It just captures the love and the laughter that make this couple so wonderful. They are going to be such great parents!

Yes, she is. I couldn’t believe it either. :)

We made a quick trip down another trail to get to the lake, just as the sun was setting behind the trees. I love the vintage-y feel of these next two.

Last shot of the day, with just a hint of pink left in the sky.

Jessica and Jason, thank you so much for a wonderful evening. I wish you an uneventful remainder of your pregnancy, a quick and easy delivery, and a beautiful, healthy baby. I cannot wait to meet your new little one (and to finally find out if it is a boy or a girl!). Keep smiling, keep laughing, keep loving.

A baby is on the way! Molly and Bobby have the nursery all set for their new little one.

And for all of the friends and relatives out there trying to figure out if it’s a boy or a girl, we’ll give you a little hint…

:)

Good luck you guys! I hope you have a quick, easy, and healthy delivery. I can’t wait to meet your sweet little bundle of joy!

Hooray! It’s the last of the overdue sneak peeks! Catching up on everything has been brutal – I’ve still got the nagging cough and sore throat. I may actually break down and head to the doctor tomorrow.

But enough about me. This post is about Marie and Chris, who are expecting their first child next month! They already know it’s a boy, and after seeing his nursery I hope he’s a sports fan! LOL

Can you guess what his name will be?

Marie practices her rocking skills. :)

Hey guys, I hope these last few weeks go smoothly, and that Joseph arrives with “Marriner speed.” ;) Good luck, and I can’t wait to meet your new little bundle!
