Has it really been a year? I have so enjoyed hanging out with Andrew and his family every few months, and I’ll miss seeing them so often! We had a great time last weekend. There was swinging, there was a little monkey jumping on the bed, and of course there was CAKE!

This session has to take the prize for most weather-related reschedules. Mother Nature was definitely not willing to cooperate with us! We started this back in April as a First Communion shoot. At that time we decided to just do a few pics of Emily in her dress, with the intention of doing more at a later time, once the weather warmed up a bit.
Oh, it got warmer! Remember that awful heat wave this summer? Well, it was the first time I ever had to reschedule a session due to excessive heat!
But last week we finally managed to find a time when we could get together and finish up the session. Unfortunately it was a bit cool and at LOT windy at Breitbeck Park, but we still had fun. Of course, it started raining five minutes after we were done with the session.
So here’s a little peek at the “Persistence Pays Off” session. LOL
And can I tell you how much I love this first picture? It’s so Emily. ![]()

Oh, what a fun time we had getting this session done! Mother Nature was NOT being cooperative, but Ashley and I were persistent! About five minutes into the session, we started hearing thunder, and then flashes of lightning started appearing out over the lake. We ran for cover before the rain started coming down. It was actually nice just sitting and waiting for the rain to stop, because that way we got to spend more time chatting! And you all know how much I love to talk.
Here are some of Ashley’s answers to my Senior Quiz…

A Beautiful Family | CNY Family Portraits

I loved these kids! So cute, so funny, and such incredible eyes! We met up at Mexico Point on a windy, windy day last week. Let me introduce you to these cuties…
First up is Landry, the oldest at 10 1/2 years old. He seems like the mature, responsible older brother. Then there is Griffin, who just turned 9. Of course I love his name, and he has a mischievous side that reminds me of a certain other Griffin in my life. ![]()

And now we have Madyn, who is a complete diva at the age of 6. She knows how to work a camera like a professional! And her mom made her pretty dress. (Check out her Etsy shop for more cute things.)

And finally we have Gable, the baby of the family. He’s three years old, and he’s quite a character! I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in a while!
