Katelyn – GRB Class of 2011 | Fulton Senior Photographer

Posted on August 20, 2010

It’s Senior Week! All four of my portrait sessions this week have been high school seniors (or almost-seniors). And there are more to come next week! I love working with this group – they are fun to be around and are almost always up for my crazy ideas.

I didn’t get too crazy with Katelyn, though. She’s been on crutches for two years after a hip injury, so I didn’t want to make her climb a tree or anything. :P But I was quite impressed with how well she gets around on those crutches. I think I would probably be on my butt or face-first on the pavement if I tried them.

She was not spared the Senior Quiz, though!! Here are some quick facts about Katelyn, along with a sneak peek of yesterday’s session. Oh, and if one of them doesn’t look like Katelyn that’s because it’s her sister Kari. I hope to get to do her senior pics in a few years. :)

My name is: Katelyn Holbrook
I go to school at: GRB High School
I will graduate in: 2011

My favorite class was/is: English
My favorite teacher is: Mr. Gillard

My favorite person in the world is: Michael Jackson
The last thing I ate was: pizza

I like to spend my time: with friends & family or reading
My favorite store is: Barnes & Noble

After graduation I plan to: attend college
If I had $5,000.00 I would: travel the world

Good luck in your senior year, Katelyn! And tell Comet that Otto forgives him. :)

Madison – Class of ’12 | Liverpool Senior Photographer

Posted on August 20, 2010

Meet Madison. She is going to be a junior at Liverpool High School this year, and is very enthusiastic about being one of my Senior Representatives for the Class of 2012. I thought I’d try something a little different and let her do a trial run this year. So when school starts again next month, Maddie will have some rep cards to pass around. If you are a senior at Liverpool High this year, or a junior planning ahead for your senior portraits, see Maddie and grab one of her cards. You’ll get yourself some free wallet-sized prints when you book your senior portrait session with Jen Marriner Photography!

Here’s a peek at Maddie’s mini session a couple of days ago at the Butterfly Garden at Onondaga Lake Park…

Tim Conners Benefit

Posted on August 20, 2010

Don’t forget that tomorrow is the big benefit in support of Tim Conners and his family, being held from noon-6:00 at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton. Tim is in a battle against leukemia, and needs all the love and support we can offer him. And with the medical bills involved with a bone marrow transplant still ahead of them, they need your help financially as well. That’s why I have donated the Tug For Tim Portrait Package for tomorrow’s silent auction. This package has a value of $575.00, and I hope that the bidding goes really high on this. If it gets close to the actual value, I may throw in some extras for the winner! :)

And if you need more information on the benefit, click here: Tim Conners Benefit. You can also show your support by joining the Tug For Tim Facebook page, and by following Tim’s updates on his CaringBridge site. I hope to see everyone tomorrow at Lakeview Lanes!!

Taylor – Class of ’11 | Baldwinsville Senior Photographer

Posted on August 18, 2010

Meet Taylor! She is going to be a senior at Baker High this year. Normally I would have a whole bunch of other stuff to tell you about her, but she totally lucked out today – I completely forgot to bring the dreaded Senior Quiz to her session! This is what I get for going on vacation – complete mush brain!! I’m sure Taylor is heartbroken. LOL

Anyway, I can tell you that Taylor loves her horses. They weren’t too cooperative, but I did manage to get a few nice shots. She also has three dogs. And at least one cat. It’s quite a little zoo! :)

And I love her smile. I can tell you that. Oh, and she plays lacrosse, too.

We dropped by her neighbor’s house to explore their barns. And play on their tractor.

Love the colors on this one.

But then of course I had to slap on the wide-angle lens and get that beautiful sky in the picture as well!

Thanks for a great time, Taylor. Good luck in your senior year, and pet those sweet dogs of yours for me!
