Project 365 – Day 365
Posted on December 31, 2009
It’s finally over! Hooray!!! This year-long photo project has been fun, frustrating, and challenging. And I’ve never been so glad to see the arrival of a new year! LOL
I am NOT crazy enough to try Project 365 again in 2010, but stay tuned for details of a more modest photo project that I will be starting. I’ll be needing your help with it, so be prepared!

Families. I love ‘em. Big families, small families, new families, expectant families. The are all different, yet they are all the same – full of fun, laughter, and love.

A pic from my last session of 2009. This is Daisy, who is the most patient, loving dog I have ever met. Here she is hiding from the mayhem of three small children. More from her family’s portrait session will be coming soon!

Seniors! Oh, how I love working with this group. They are fun, smart, stylish, and beautiful (ok, the guys are handsome). I was lucky enough to have some wonderful senior class reps this year. And if you are a member of the Class of 2011, I am now accepting applications for Senior Representative for your class. Check out this page for details.

Holidays spent with family are the best! Here are more of my lovely siblings – Eva, Josiah, and Faith. We had a great visit with them this week. I wish they didn’t live so far away!!

My Favorites of 2009 | Bigger Ones

School-aged kids, full of energy. I love it when they are comfortable enough with me to tell me all about their BFFs, their sports, and what they want to be when they grow up. And they are certainly growing up fast. Here are my favorite big kid pics of 2009.

My Favorites of 2009 | Little Ones

Older infants, scooting and crawling all over the place. Sweet little toddlers, just figuring out the walking thing. Cute preschoolers, becoming more independent (though sometimes that independence means not wanting anything to do with the camera
). Here are my favorite little one pics of 2009.

The Great Snowball War of 2009
Posted on December 28, 2009
Today our visitors from North Carolina were treated to several inches of new snow. That, of course, means just one thing. SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!!
Oh, never mind. Griffin’s aim is not that good.

He does make a good show of trying, though.

Faith joined the war, so Josiah brought out the heavy artillery – the shovel. He yelled, “Griffin, duck!” And Griffin did, just in time.

A little bit of sisterly revenge.

But then the tables were turned, and Griffin tried to rescue Faith.

It’s a tough job being King of the Mountain.

Hey, where did that one come from?

Or did it come from Grandpa over here?? ![]()

My Favorites of 2009 | Wee Ones

To celebrate the end of 2009, I have chosen some of my favorite images from this year. I’ll start with the newborns, those sweet little bundles with their soft skin and their funny faces. They are a joy to photograph, and I love to watch them grow throughout the year. I would like to thank all of the moms & dads who have entrusted me with their little ones’ first pictures.
