I can’t believe I got this shot!!!!
Today was launch day for the Lanigan sixth graders and their rockets. I didn’t even think I would be able to go, but fortunately one of my students decided not to show up today, so I had some unexpected free time. I didn’t have enough time to stop by the house to grab my good camera, so I was stuck with just my little point & shoot. With its dying batteries! But I made those batteries last as long as I could. When it came time for lift-off, I just pressed the shutter button once and hoped for the best. The rockets take off at such a high speed I figured I had no chance of catching it coming off the launch pad or even in the frame. But I somehow timed it just right, because here it is! I have a few more pics from today’s event that I hope to post later on, so stay tuned.
