Project 365 – Day 59

Posted on February 28, 2009

This evening we took a ride up to Oswego, hoping to get a glimpse of one of those amazing sunsets over Lake Ontario. There were no dazzling reds or oranges tonight, but we did get some nice pink color over the frozen shoreline.

This is Ian. He's one year old now, and we got to play together today.

We read some books...

What is it with little boys and Legos? This big plastic bin represents maybe a third? a quarter? of Grant’s current stash of plastic bits. And now his brother has gotten into them, so bare feet beware in our house!

I went out for a walk this evening, and got thinking about this again. Just thinking. Definitely not this year, but maybe 2010. Maybe.

Whenever I get an order from one of my vendors, they always include little treats. Over the holidays I had so many orders going that I was inundated with candy. Two months later I still have several of these sitting in a mug on my desk. Anyone want one?

Project 365 – Day 55

Griffin came home from Kindergarten today wearing this hat. Apparently it is to celebrate the first 100 days of school. At the end of each colored strip is a school bus with a number – 10, 20, 30 etc. – counting up to 100. Thank goodness they counted by tens instead of by ones…

Project 365 – Day 54

Last week we celebrated Griffin’s birthday with a trip to two of his favorite places – the MOST in Syracuse and Build A Bear. While he made himself a frog dressed like a leprachaun, his older brother created this turtle. Not for himself of course, because at ten years old he is too cool for stuffed animals. No, this was made for ME. :) Her name is Mi-shell (sorry) and she has made her home on the shelf over my computer.

This weekend we traveled to Philadelphia to visit Mom and sis. We spent Saturday at the Franklin Institute, which is a wonderful science and technology museum. We all had a great time, especially the kids. I highly recommend it!
